Drone Pilot Academy was founded to make drone pilot training accessible, engaging, and career-focused. We offer FAA TRUST Certification for recreational pilots and FAA Part 107 training for commercial pilots. Our founder was one of Michigan’s first certified drone instructors and has trained hundreds of students. We use cutting-edge tools like AR to enhance learning and simulate real-world flight. The academy works with schools, workforce programs, and government institutions to scale impact.
Mario Swaidan, Founder
Drone Pilot Academy trains the next generation of certified drone pilots. We offer hands-on courses for both recreational (FAA TRUST) and commercial (FAA Part 107) certification, combining expert instruction with immersive tools like AR flight simulations. Our programs are delivered in-person and online, with options for schools, workforce initiatives, and government partners. We prepare students not just to pass the exam—but to fly with confidence and purpose.
Anyone age 13 and up can take our recreational TRUST course. For the commercial FAA Part 107 course, students must be at least 16 years old and able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
We offer courses on FAA TRUST Certification for recreational pilots and FAA Part 107 Certification Prep for commercial drone operators.
